Hiatus
Well, the stops are all in place, and we’re going to spend some time away from the markets. All short term trades have been settled and that account is sitting in cash. For the longer term here’s a summary of where we stand heading into a two week blackout of financial information:

Over at Gaming the Market, they’ve posted a list of some ways broker/dealers, market makers and others can illegally manipulate their clients or the market. We aren’t recommending any of these tactics, they are all illegal. You must, however, know what you are up against. Here’s the list:

With the markets experiencing a sell-off more akin to a blood bath, it’s rare to find advancing stock. Not impossible mind you, and even more rare is a stock advancing with abnormal volume. See below for Amazon and Qualcomm:

Long Here on EURUSD
Over the last couple of hours buying pressure on EURUSD has been increasing against 1.5935 resistance. Depending on how you read your patterns, you could put in a 40pip profit target, considering the height of the triangle:

Equivolume: ETFC
A company we’ve been following since the new year is E*Trade Financial Corp. . On Monday, while the market was sliding to an ever impressive low, E*Trade announces that they were selling their Canadian subsiduary to Scotia Bank. Seagate’s Equivolume
Today the market moved upwards pretty hard. Scanning for stocks moving across moving averages on volumes almost gave us the whole damn market back. Looking the other direction, we scanned for anything that moved downwards on increased volume, and took out all the resource companies. Staring back at us was Seagate:
